I'm Jason, one of the editors of a new free gaming magazine.

We are looking for contributors for writing and illustration, all contributions are non paid as the magazine is published for free. No one on the magazine makes any money from the project, it was started as a way of generating portfolio work for those involved.

What Is Irregular Magazine

Irregular Magazine has been designed to provide hobbyists with articles and tutorials on miniature painting, RPG and wargames.

All content is community generated, including the art-work, creating a very unique magazine, not specific to any one aspect of the hobby, or tied down to a particular game or manufacturer. Hopefully it will reflect the diversity of the hobby community.

Issues will appear every quarter, and back issues will remain online – so don’t worry if you lose your copy.

The magazine is FREE and is also advertisement free; this project makes absolutely no money – and we’re ok with that.

We recommend you print off only the pages you really need – this way you don’t have piles of paper cluttering up your space and it helps the environment.

Make use of the web enabled features to link directly from the magazine to sites of interest, or from the contents page to the article you want to read.

Issue 1 has to date been downloaded 5000  times, Issue 2 went live on 02/10/09 and already reached 2500+ downloads, we expect to reach 5000 before December.

I've been trying for two days now to download the current issue with no luck. Tired from 3 different computers? I'll try again tomorrow maybe there is high traffic.

actually I think I figured it out at least for my browser Robot. I'm using Firefox and when I click the link it opens a black tab saying it's the pdf. I right click on the black page and choose 'save link as' and it allowed me to download the link. seems to have worked.

yeah you can't download from here, you need to go to the website, which loaded ok for me the second time, it must have had high traffic the first time, then just click 'download'

Really? Interesting since I had no trouble at all downloading the magazine...though now I cannot recall if I may have clicked through or not, maybe it was because I clicked on the link....anyways...interesting mag.
