    crash... thud

so the software keeps crashing, the thud is my head on the desk...

I have a figure, I made a sword, saved it as a tool, now I want to append the sword tool to the figure tool, but everytime I try it crashes like a dummy in a car.  frankly Im F........ P........ Off.

any thoughts as to what I might be doing wrong... cant fathom it myself, though its been one of those days.

    Re: crash... thud

Did you hear some really loud thumping last week and the week before? That was my head doing similar things.

For some reason I kept getting that same thing happening when trying to open additional tools in 3.1 recently (had a few crashes in 3.5 too). I don't know what's caused it but it never used to do that before, so maybe a windows update (or some other update to something) is interfering with it somehow.

    Re: crash... thud

posted a message a zbrush central...apparently it shouldnt happen... like I couldnt work that out for myself...

so I need to post a support ticket with the models concerned.  but Im not sure they are still supporting the version I have [:'(].  if your still having trouble banj you will need to do the same.

    Re: crash... thud

surprise It's not supposed to happen? I thought it was a feature.

Well I'm not using 3.1 at the moment (although I still have it installed - just in case), but if I find I still get random crashes I'll get on to them. 3.5 has been fairly stable, but I have had some crashes with that. I'd need to do a few more tests to see if it was just something I did wrong or not. Let us know what you find out.

    Re: crash... thud

I have got around the issue on my female elf, I made a sword at a friends house last night on 3dsmax and it works fine importing it today.  Im guessing it was a problem with my model I was importing.

Ill post an update at some stage.
