Does anyone know how relevent the d'artiste books are to photoshop? I am only starting to digitally paint making the move from traditional art. I am thinking of buying the whole range.

they are all different chuck, would you want the matte painting ones etc? the tips are not really specific to a program, more general help. That's going to be really expensive though!

yeah me too, addicted to books! well i'm sure they'll be helpful, i think Ballistic had a deal recently too so check them out now, i can't remember what it was but i thought it was quite good.

I got a few of these..theyre not strictly instructional although they do show step by step of works in progress, its the amazing picture that you buy these books for they display the work of such talented individuals you spend hours marvelling at them! Beautiful books by the way, i have just bought two oak book shelves and only manged to fill one so i may shop up for some more too.

I have a lot of them but they're not very good as tutorials...

I suggest you to buy IFX if you want to learn and to look at D'Artiste book to see the actual standard in the digital scene and to take inspiration from the masters.
