Wow. Really nice Ruben. At first I thought it was a photo-manip.

I'm not sure about the impact marks though. To my mind they feel a little 'stuck on' rather than part of the image. Other than that it's amazing and the muscle tone on the horses is incredible

curious what program you used for this. it really has a claymation feel to the image. looks good though.

    Re: Race to Win

Hey, you've got a great image here, nice one.

A few minor crits/suggestions if you wanted to do a bit more on it:

     - The cast shadows from the horses could be a little softer and maybe lean towards the blue shadows in the background

    - The jockey positions look great. I'm sure you've got some good reference for the horses but the leg positions feel a bit more like a horse canter than a gallop. Their neck position are good but my intial reaction was that all the feet are fairly close to the ground and none of the limbs are in extreme positions. Feel free to disagree though, I'm sure you can probably find ref where they look like yours. It might add to it though to take a look at the poses below:

     gallop

-the background is quite heavily blurred so you could probably get away with softening your midground   (theres a slight border on the grass), also some motion blur could really help on the horses.

    Great piece overall,

    Dave

I've tried doing a horse rider a couple of times and always failed. Stick out tongue

    Re: Race to Win

Man Great Reply man . . .great critics like them a lot, but I noticed that the horse in MUY BRIDGE is running slower. . . the other one are on a very very high speed, yes, maybe the running poses doesnt change their basic movement, but looking at my references it might have different limb and head positions to compensate a higher velocity and more strength pushing forward.

You can still disagree. . . but good observation. . . the line on the grass might be a render mistake that I didnt noticed that some weeks later. So I said to myself. . . OHH MAN I DIDNT SEE THIS. . . but to late though.

Check my other thread if you have time. . . THE TARANTULA SORCERER. . . so you can critic

     Best Regards

it looks fantastic, you did a really great job, but i do have to say i agree with the gait thing. the horse in the foreground looks like it needs to be more stretched out, in my opinion. :)

    Re: Race to Win

awesome i love it..however i feel it needs to contain a little bit more impression of speed, perhaps  in the movement and perhaps a bit of blur. as Lentil says strecth out the front runner a bit.
