    Fae Queen

    Attachment: Fae-Queen-50.jpg

Dang...long time no post. But I've certainly been painting.

Ok, so here is a peek at my Cover Entry for the IFX 50th issue. (I'm still working on it.) I've changed a few things, and am continuing to rework/finesse certain areas. I will post a more robust image once I have a better handle on it.  This weekend should prove productive though. Woot!

    Re: Fae Queen

Thanks Sam, Nimh and Kaz! I appreciate your kind words. Gee Nimh, I never would have guessed you like wolves! hahaha. Or you Sam! And of course, we would never have guessed that Kaz might be interested in fairies! LOL!  (Non regulars are shaking their heads saying "WTF is she talking about?") LOL!

Yeah, and I'm STILL tweaking it. I decided to alter her expression a wee bit. Soooo, I'm almost done. And yes, I will definitely post a "biggy" for you to see the details! C'mon now, I wouldn't go bootleg on you! (Er, not sure all of you are familiar with that slang. It means, cheap, lazy, cheated you.) LOL!!

So no worries, I'll have some Fae, fairy, pixie, wolf detail goodness coming your way soon.

    Thanks for visiting guys.

    Re: Fae Queen

is that wolf on the left side smiling.  there is no smiling in fantasy art!  just kidding...

good lighting and overall mood is great.  you put a lot into this one.  even the little faery have muscles and form to them.

    Re: Fae Queen

LOL Sam! No he isn't smiling. I was having a hard time with that. I found that often times when wolves are relaxed, they look like they are smiling! I was fighting that. looks like I failed! LOL!

Thanks Sam, I appreciate the kind words. ;)

    Re: Fae Queen

That pesky green feather wielding fairy is going to get munched by those glorious glistening fangs methinks, lol. and it does look like the one on the left is smiling but canines do laugh at life don't they? (Lol, yup, can't help but love 'em RED. Stick out tongue ) Wonderful detail on the front fairies too you must have taken ages. Thanks for sharing.

Ha, it's good to know you're still at it Red, and developing your own style too..it warms my heart he he :)

Very funny piece, it has a warm "pasty" feel to it...er...you got me right? :)  it's an entry to some sort of chalange i've heard, no?

    Re: Fae Queen

    LOL Thanks Grey!

    Yep, still painting away.

I think I got you! Warm, and funny, and er...pasty! Not sure what you mean by pasty? Sweet and dough like? lol!

Yes, it was for the IFX 50th Issue Cover Competition. I'm extremely honored to say that my piece was one of the 50 (I think it was 50?) actually published in that issue. I'm so thrilled!!

Would still love some crits folks! I'm not convinced that this is a finished piece. I appreciate feedback. Thanks!
