Hey everybody, Happy Halloween!! Here is my finished entry. Unfortunately I ran out of time and can no longer work on this. I wanted to add a few more details but overall I'm pretty happy with it. Everyone's entries look great! Good luck everyone. :)

Be warned man eating witches in disguise.  Yes, there be such things as shape shifting witches about, those that can become any manner of man or beast, and of any size.
 Indistinguishable from the real thing except for the show of the witchity moon. Nope its not in the sky, you look on their belly... and hopefully NOT from the inside.

well I'll be first. The trick-or-treaters have trickled off and some really bad tv is on. First this has to be the toughest to vote on. there are so many entires that i like and for different reasons.

but here we go. FIRST- TheKing78 LIKED THIS FROM THE FIRST AND THE ANGle is very well done and the grass detail is amazing as is the folds in the gown.

SECOND- volspa very unusual and the character is just unexpected.

THIRD-Cellesria- SWEET AND CHARMING a page out of a children's book.

1 TheKing - this one has it all. Gorgeous!
2 voluspa - wonderful work.
3 Jok - I was afraid I couldn't vote for you with the link issue but it looks like you lucked out this time. I really like your image its haunting and beautiful.

1. Black-Sh33p - Good consistent stylised overall finish, tasteful semi-toga costume design
2. rorke - Lovely overall finish. Forms are reasonably good but lighting is ambiently ambiguous (skulls . Design and rendering has potential. Love the gorgon like hair and care for facial expression.
   
3. TheKing78 - Interesting top down composition, with relatively accurate treatment of a moonlit scene. Good forms and material treatment. Accurate treatment of volumetric lighting. Props - knife and staff look too artificially placed/arranged. Compositional elements of the tree could be improved. Overall, there could be more overlapping elements for this ambitious piece, however because everything is arranged separately into tidy areas...the viewer is less involved into what could be a great piece. Perhaps a closer crop into the subject could work.

 

Noteworthy: The Gurch: Love the far left approach to the month's title, and grotesque treatment of the man witch but feel overall a less witchy entry (although this can be open to intepretation). Lighting on objects are too well lit, without obvious note of frontal lighting (with the moon lighting immediately behind - most of the forms should be cast in relief instead)
