    banjaxedmdt:

Harlequin, you realise that you only think you saw one of his shows live. You actually just went in, sat down, he clicked his fingers (while nodding at you), then you got up and went home believing you'd seen a show.

*Nods* I knew there was no way he could really have stolen that banana from the left of the stage dressed in a monkey costume without me noticing.

The link dosnt seem to work, but i'll give it a google :P  Did anyone see the derren brown messiah programme?  Thought that was pretty interesting, although it would be nice if he gave a little hint at how he was 'persuading' all the different people.  At times I felt he was trying to trick the audience at home rather than the people on the show...  good none the less :P

    Re: Derren Brown

he needs to stick to his usual stuff i think, before everyone loses faith in him, i 'used' to love him, but that's quickly disappearing with every one of these stupid pointless shows.

    Re: Derren Brown

so its not just me that thinks that. Yeah agreed he needs to go back to his old stuff but think of new ways of doing it. Not these massive impossible stunts that are totally fake.

    Re: Derren Brown

I thought it was a very brave (not to mention hilarious) thing to do, ending not only a show but the whole series with a trick that he quite deliberately got wrong in order to fool people into thinking that his "methods" are real. After the initial shock and a confused wait for any kind of "epilogue" I couldn't help chuckling about it all night. I don't know of any other magician who would have the nerve to attempt that kind of anticlimax.

    Re: Derren Brown

i do kind of agree with that, it was a clever thing to do since it was such a shock factor. but i don't think many people think of it that way.. I think lots of people got quiet angry cause of it.

    Re: Derren Brown

Never seen it, but a coule of years ago an escape artist "jonathan" something or other tried a live escape on tv.... basically he put a noose round his neck and handcuffed himself, after a peroid of time if he had not escaped the noose would drag him up in the air, strangling him in the process. sounded like a cool stunt to do on live telavision... but the moron asked people to bring in the handcuffs and the more unusuell the better.... well he got ones he hadn't seen before but went a head anyway.. couldn't escape and up he went.. He lived through it, but his tvshow died..

so If Mr (i'm sooo evil!!!) brown died on his ass on tv it, might end his carrer... or people might tun in to see him hang himself again.

    Re: Derren Brown

Is that because you were stuck in your seat?
