most of what im putting up at the moment is old work ive done in last few years or months, just rediscovering them in various sketchbooks. I prob wont be doing any more work in the pieces shown at present but you never know...Ive been finding a ton of thumbnail ideas that never made it to completion and Ive began sketching more in last few days, hope to post them soon...At the moment, im trying to learn the inner workings of CS3 and painter...The Punk above was quick sketch, I used a Colour workshop form an IMAGINE FX issue as my template to colour him as he is...its ok sketch, but not enough in it to grab me to push it further im afraid, was literally just a quick doodle to scan and try mess with some things (basics i was learning...Scaling up image, Dodge/burn tools/ Levels etc)

it's all good. I regularly go back through old sketches and drawing to get inspiration or just to rework an image with a new look.

Just something i did during the lunch.

A Gothic Vamp drawing ive done, i kinda like it! :)

A more dynamic pose sketch. Im tend to do a lot of very static Character drawings, im trying to do a few new ones that have more action etc to them. This is the pre lim Sketch, im going to work it up more, maybe tonight, hopefully if it works well ill add it to my gallery. Im thinking of adding in the shapes of Skyscrapers etc, maybe the silhouette of a copter...Might also add some form of facial tattoo...

love the vampire there Dark. it actually reminded me of Jack the Ripper right off the bat.

hey doc. just wanted to say thanks for checking out my gallery, and that vampire dude is looking mighty good. it reminds me of some of the illustrations that Bernie Wrightson did for that new release of Mary Shelly's Frankenstein book. have you flipped through that? i bet you'd dig it. also your perspective on this latest character is looking great, very tough to get that one right. you still planning on working it up more?

Have a large collection of Portfolio books, RPG games and historical books that i flick through for inspiration a lot (currently reading Gary Tonges BOLD VISIONS). The new guy is derived from my fandom of the SHADOWRUN rpg game...and yeah, i did an initial Wash of colours over him but hadnt had a chance to do more since, im musician and had gigs...and im bit hungover today...lol, but later maybe. i might do a wip of it here and see if ppl might help me complete it...Liked your work, ill be keeping an eye on it! a fellow musician huh? hell yea. oh yea i know how that goes, i think i was hungover from 12th grade till everyone else graduated college. not me though...hmmm wonder why. but, yea dude you should definately post up your wip's on here, ill try and keep an eye out for them. oh and good looking out on my stuff again.

added some stuff to the drawing from earlier. Also cropped off the arm on one side cos it was distracting. Thinking of a red light source coming in from the right, maybe even adding some manner of neon signs etc in the negative space background...opinions?

yea man, it looks much better so far. the neon lighting could also look really cool. are you planning on placing him in a city, like a grundgy bladerunner type setting? that could look really cool, then you could also reflect the glow of the lights in his shades, which is always cool.

haha, I haven't played Shadowrun since high school. I thought it was great though.
