Pretty certain the sketchling's swatch was mentioned on the forum before, possibly by koshime.

well i found it but it doesn't display as a wheel?

You have to resize it by grabbing the bottom right corner. Push and pull until the circle pops into place.

    Re: Need color circle swatches

Kaz -you have to change the swatch window til you get the wheel. But first you need to select replace swatches and not load. If you have swatches there already, it will mess up the wheel.

I know valence, i tried it also without luck.

If you load the Norke's color palette underneath the wheel, you have a very powerful swatch set. But be sure to delete the swatches in the lowest line of the wheel set so you get a full line.Than when you load the norke's color palette this one will show correctly. You could actually delete all of the swatches under the wheel.. They really are redundant. One thing though. Do NOT use swatch manager to do this. The wheel don't show there, and you will have no clue as to whitch to delete. Use the Alt+click command on each one you wish to delete.

    Re: Need color circle swatches

:) Easy to do kaz. Just delete all the swatches under the wheel in the wheel set, and all the light swatches in the Norke's set and keep the grey scale and the and the darks. You're there. I'm useing it as I write, and it's the thing I've been searching for since I first saw the setup in Painter.

You could always just do an image search for a colour wheel and pick colours from that, then you can have it at any size you want on the screen.

    Re: Need color circle swatches

This is an oldie but goldy thread. Bought the Nox and the James Kei clothed figure videos from Massive black yesterday (and a bunch of other ones). I'm watching Nox's now, and am really convinced of the simplicity of his circle. James Kei uses the Sketchling circle, and I'm exited to see that in use to. The thing with Nox's circle is that it looks perfect for skin tones. Simple and easy to use. The Sketchling one I have found can be a bit to advanced and thus somewhat confusing to use sometimes. Although the version I made up have proved valuble. But I guess I will go for  Nox's when it comes to skin.

I like Nox's palette. I've been using it for awhile. I just found this thread. I am excited to get home and try the new ones. I really wish adobe would develop something like the Painter wheel.

You are right about Nox's being good for skin tones.

You must have faith in yourself when no one else will....like now for example.

Oh yea. Been thinking that since I went from Painter to Ps. Just like the rotate function. That has been in painter a long time as far as I know, but adobe has just now managed to put it in. And not a to good one either.
