ace! i think this will be fun especially with it being in public lol coughs. Il try not to be the first to flop. No pun intended... honest.

There could be a points system for example..

You collected over 100 points .. Bronze!!!!  you could have somthing on your avatar  like a bronze paintbrush

You collected over 200 points.... Silver!!!! Same goes but with silver

You collected 365 points.......GOLD!!!!  Nuff sed

this may sound like a total lame idea but how cool is a gold paintbrush?? lol no..... im such a kid.. i need rewards like sweets and paintbrushes to make me commit!

Very cool Idea! I'll add that later... we'll need a very small logo style image then.

    Paintbrush, Star, Skull, Axe, Sword?

How about the 'Dragon Scroll' !!

    I think 4 levels would be good. 100, 200, 300 and 365.

    This is an excellent idea.

I could use some encouragement in the sketchbook department.

Actually I might as well get started since it's almost 2009.

Man, that dragon scroll must be pretty nifty.

    Cheers

Someone I know contributed to a blog where the challenge was to draw a girl a day for 100 days, and by the end of it he had improved a large amount just purely by having to do it.

Solomon - Id take the day off if I was you... its gonna be a long year!

Em - Thats good to know, 100 days is possible!

I think this will help me commit to drawing more in the spare time I other wise might waste.

Golden paintbrushes or dragon scrolls is a great idea!

But how do we deal with people being in different time zones? That makes it mor difficult to check if everyone're sticking to the rules.

Could be complicated to regulate... I'm all for self regulation on this one, unless its blindingly obvious we have a cheater. Then we can get a mob together and hunt them down while listening to Rob Zombies Dragula! DevilDevilDevil

People in the same time zones could keep tabs on each other.

Yeah, I guess that would be best. Good thing it says what time zone everyone are in on the user profiles.

Like you mentioned a few days ago harlequin, "if there is to be a cheater then in all effect they are only cheating themselves" I can go with self regulation on this. This going to be fun. Although I feel I have already missed 2 days as I'm going to visit mother over the 3rd and 4th Jan. Hopefully get some quick sketches there.

    365=Platinum

These targets will prove immensely difficult to acheive, you mark my words.  A reset to zero for missing one solitary day is harsh... but fair. I reckon getting through a whole month should get a ribbon, or something lesser anyway.
