Re: New Real media paint plugin.

The upgrade is free to existing users, and will be for zb 4 as well. 3.5 is supposed to be released the end of this month... supposedly... in theory...

SWEET! that is epic, so glad I bought ZBrush 3.0 last year then, lucky I still got the serial code after my HDD crashed and died! I will get the upgrade when it comes out, looks amazing.

Unfortunately you still have to wait your turn to receive the email so you can download it sighotherwise I would have had it hours ago when they posted the announcement crying I'm probably going to be at the bottom of the list.

Got it yesterday (higher up the list than I thought). It works brilliantly. It's pretty good fun too. My first play with Zspheres2 (after a play with the new brushes).

Re: New Real media paint plugin.

It's either upgrade Design Premium CS3 to CS4 or buy ZBrush and ZBrush has just edged its nose in front.Cool

Well, if you already have CS3 you don't need CS4.

Here's another quick critter. Obviously I am like Vincent Price in Edward Scissorhands, rather than giving my creation proper hands I gave him a couple of potatoes with some sausages stuck in them. I may fix his hands later... unless I start playing with more zspheres and build something else.

Except I really want the new additions to Illustrator and I don't really need ZBrush either. But, anyway, I'm taking you off topic - very nice model.

    They are really nice.

Here's my second quick attempt.  I lost the first because I haven't figured out how to save things yet.

Top right of the "Tool" palette, click on "save as" which will save the current tool (the object you sculpted).

Re: New Real media paint plugin.

That's what I thought. This second one saved ok.

The first was zspheres and a mesh and it saved as something other than .ztl. can't remember what .zbp I think. So it might have *saved* but I have no idea how to reopen it. :S

It wasn't exactly a masterpiece though so never mind.

Re: New Real media paint plugin.

Probably a .zbr. A .zbr is a zbrush document file which drops everything to the canvas so the tool is now pixols rather than a 3d object. The two files are separate. You need to save Tools (3d objects) separately from documents if you want to be able to re-use and re-edit the object.
