VERONICA'S NIGHTMARE

Veronica, the star player on her high school basketball team, one night passes out from a drug overdose and experiences a surreal nightmare--thus, Veronica's Nightmare is born. Her mini basketball goal is a blunt object for smashing...and beheading...

NOTES:

• Her most distinguishible feature is her headband. She loves that thing
• She is 5'9" and athletic (so don't go TOO big on the chest )
• Yes, that is a black abyss in her chest with ice crystals protruding from it

FIGHT! FIGHT!

Here's Serena in the ring once again.  

Height: 6’

Weight: C’mon. You just can’t ask a girl that. Especially this one!

Back-story: In her youth Serena studied alchemy and conjuration. (Her parents were both Magically inclined.) She became a master at alchemy at a very early age. Her conjure skills, however, are barely above average. She became restless and bored by the time she was 12. She became obsessed with training her body as she had her mind. She set her sights on martial arts. She became a master. 

 Eventually, (a girls gotta eat ya know) she became hired muscle. A body guard for the rich and elite. It was boring, but paid well. 

Through this line of work, she met a colleague who intrigued her with his mystery. His name was Yoshiedo.  Eventually Serena and Yoshiedo became close friends. Well, as close as you could get in that line of business. 

As Yoshiedo was fascinated by her skills in alchemy and conjuration, so was Serena fascinated by his history and skills of the Ninja. They agreed to exchange knowledge and training.

In addition to Serena’s Master Alchemy, Moderate Conjure and Master Martial Art skills, Serena became trained in the way of the Ninja. She has many tricks up her sleeve, literally.  Some say she even learned the art of teleportation. But none know for sure.  Serena is also very skilled in advanced cyber and computer technology. (Another gift from Yoshiedo). 

Many gossip how strange it is that she never carries a sword. The truth of the matter revolves around tragedy in her past. She refuses to speak of it. Whatever it was, she vowed never to wield the Katana again.  And she now seems to have a never ending appetite for fighting. 

Serena wears a flexible, light, but strong body armor.  Her sleeves and boots are made from the same high tech material. The collar remains rigid...all the better for an opponent to stab themselves if they get too close. Hey, a girl needs her space yo! But if you do get in close? Might I suggest forgoing that kiss? Rumor has it, it’s no good for your health. 

Her visible weapons are her Sais, and throwing stars. She carries a few “supplies” in her pouches attached to her belt.  

Pix - i can juggle to dates a bit to suit... i imagine the preliminary round(s) will be june 1 - 14th  then june 15-29th... could you do the second set of dates? cos i can hold your round till then? cmon, it wouldnt be the same without ya!

good to have you in here jayhawk - but watch where you're poking that basketball goal - you could have somebody's eye out with that

...and the Beat 'em up Champ returns! Yay Red - dead pleased u could make it for this one. Look forward to seeing the pain you inflict - esp after all the time you spent on the sidelines cheering for blood!

and yup, philby - gonna be a randomised draw. numbers wise, looks like we currently have 10 - although a couple have yet to post characters.. theres a potential to make that to 12...   (tonight is the cut off for entry, but if the numbers would work better i may hold 1 or 2 late places open)

the current plan is to have all the preliminary rounds in june, the semis in the first fortnight of july and the final in the last fortnight of july.  potentially there's gonna be a few fights happening at once - and the final may even be a 3-way battle!   but it all depends on numbers... obviously i could spread this out a bit more - but this is gonna take 2 months (start to finish) as it is, which i think is way long enough!

That's a thing, whatever happened to the guy who had that stove golem Mortimer as a character? I really wanted to see Mortimer in a fight

Also, unless one of the fights is going to be a three-way or something, ten people for the first round won't work because you'll end up with five winners from the first fights, and one of them will be left without someone to fight if it's all going to be one on one.

Background: Armored ex military on the run with stolen suit after finding it was going to be used to start a war holocaust for land rights. Back attachment can transform into multiple weapons at the thought of the pilot.

Side note: Has issues sometimes when Colin needs to go to the bathroom.

"Originally the next in line to be high monk of the shaolin temple in 'para-universe: Alpha'. Until mutiny from a rival monks got him exiled and banished from the region. Now spends time in the mountains perfecting his fighting styles and harnising the Chi-powered arms, which he hopes one day will be capable of more than extending! With one goal of revenge and a bitter attitude towards other lifeforms." (Basically he takes no S**T : P)

Special abilties: Powerful Chi arms, capable of extending and powerful Grasp (can crush even adamantium (XMENlol)) also able to heat up his hands to that of the power of a supernova so watch out this one has a bit of bite : )

Yeah, what did ever happen to Mortimer, he was cool. K, here's mine haven't really come up with a back story yet, cos he emerged out of a blind scribble sketch. But basically he's called Smog, 5'7" and lean, chainmail body suit, with leather boots, gloves and head cover. He wears a backpack full of chemicals that he uses to create a noxious cloud of gas which he can direct towards an opponent, making them choke, at which point he can move in and attack with his clawed gloves and toes made from the hardest metal on earth Lutetium. His mask makes him immune to his own smog, and the googles aloow him to see through the cloud too. I'll try and come up with a story before the fight.

lol@ character descriptions guys - really makes things more interesting. obviously a good tactic with jester's gonna be draw the fight out so long that he needs to take the suit off during a toilet break. then smack him!

and yes - i realise the numbers dont work out yet... im working on it! lol. and yes - it could mean that we have a 3way preliminary round!
