    Thanks a lot. Encouragement like this means so much.

    Have started out on a project to draw Elvis in pencil for my mother. Here's the start of the piece. No blending/smudging used since it's supposed to be better practice not to use this technique until shading can be done without it):

    Nice Mindbender, I've got that book! I recognise that drawing good job. It's such a cool book, really well written, I've done a lot from it :-)

    Hey man -some nice sketches you get now man. This U2 cover just great. And Elvis really looks like Elvis. It's a joy seeing you progression (I've got you on subscriptionBig Smile)

    Thanks. Would have liked to spend more time on the U2 one and Elvis' face has been changed somewhat since that post. But I'm glad you like it (will keep posting "Elvis" in my WiP thread eventually) and keep seeing progress in my drawing.

    Great MB! I have a drawing of the exact same picture in my sketchbook^^ Good to see you ploughing through the book.

    I like the U2 one, good job you have the lighting just right.
