    Re: Sketchstorm #51: Wall

I drew the wall beside my computer...I was hoping for something much more profound and much less nerdy, but after a while of reference searching I looked over and decided I liked my wall best. Alas. :p

A beautiful painting of that wall indeed. And you do make me curious about the story behind those framed cards. Smile

I chose one of the most obvious walls - the great one in China:

Seungy, wonderful head and neck studies!

Mindbender, love the drama and balance on your Miles Davis sketch.

Avali, very visually appealing cubism piece.

Solomon, those head and neck studies are really nice.

I did part of an older sketchstorm topic after Canova's Three Graces sculpture:

Thanks a lot Lisa. Great taking on those challenging graces. Big Smile

Have begun drawing my market from a painting by James Gurney. Hopefully'll post it later today.

Sketchstorm #53: Master study - Raphael

And our next subject is actually to do a master study - this time let's try Raphael.

    Beautiful study, Solomon.

I sketched mine with an ink pen as usual. Another study from a drawing in Hale's wonderful book:

Sketchstorm #54: Out of The Mist (November challenge warm-up)

New month means new IFX monthly challenge and I thought it would be a great start if we have the challenge theme as our first sketch subject. Who knows, we might even get inspired to develop it to a finished piece eventually. Big Smile

Here is the very first, quick and rough scribble that came to mind. A giant carrying another giant, carrying a third one reading a book. On their way out of the mist they meet a group of riders. Don't know if I'll use this weird idea for the challenge, but here it is Big Smile:
