    Hey Fates,

Noob to Pro is a Great Start, but it's getting rather out dated.
In addition to "Blender for Dummies," I would recommend "Essential Blender." It contains a lot of tutorials starting with basic topics and them moving to more advanced material.  I found the Dummies book, very informative, but I think you may appreciate the tutorials in essentials more.

Also here's a tutorial about box modeling and extrusion that I put together.
    Here

It wasn't a problem at all.  The teacher in me likes to help.
At any time, feel free to contact me with questions.  If I don't know, I can point you in the right direction.

My wife won't let me wear it around the house.  She says that tights aren't good for my daughters to see.

Lol. Dunno if I mentioned this before Gix, but I've been keeping an eye on the 11 second club. There's some Blender work goes on in this and definitely worth keeping an eye on for tips about 3d character animation and maybe take part in it for feedback and practice. I've attempted a couple of times to get something done, but time has always beat me lol.

Re: Blender Videos & Other Info

I've actually seen your posts on you tube for the 11 second club.  It might be a good place to test drive my rigging of 2D images for animation like I did with the skull.  Have you done anything with that site lately?

I just checked out this month's challenge over at the 11 second club.  This has potential to be a cool one.
I think I might give it a go, but once again it comes to finding time.

    Hmmm

That's a very nice site. I think you'd have to be very committed to enter - or unemployed.Wink I notice that times for completed work is around 40 hours to two weeks! It's understandable of course, a lot of the work is of a very high standard.

Joe, Have you ever done anything with the site?  I agree with you 100%.  Here lately I don't ever plan on finishing any of these side projects on time, but it gives me something to think about that isn't work related.

Re: Blender Videos & Other Info

Yeah it does take up a lot of time, I've never managed to get anything finished for it, it's amazing how long an 11 second clip with lipsync takes to do when you're not exprienced at it, makes you really appreciate any 3D film.

Haven't had time to do anything in anyway 3d related recently, been too busy in work, and the spare time I've had I've been drawing (which isn't much either lol) This months clip sounds great though, I'll keep an eye out if you start anything with it (I've just discovered Google reader so I've got your blog on it now Gix, so I'm seeing the updates a lot easier)

I'm glad to hear that Fox. I completely understand about lack of time.  The alien I've been working on would be something that a year ago would have only taken me a day...  Now, I'm been poking around on him for about three weeks and have only really worked on him for about 4 - 5 hours.  I'm going to need to figure out that google reader so that I can follow your blog too Fox.
