More progress on my concept- I'm really struggling with Tarra's face, which is always a weak spot for me. I can't seem to bring it up to the same level of detail as the monster while keeping the energy of my original sketch. Frustrating!
Now for some feedback for all the incredible stuff you all are doing!
@forrest_i: I like how it's coming along- the smoke-to-creature transition feel a lot cleaner now.
@Gabriella: I love Tarra's face- great work! I'd consider making your beast a bit more twisted and deformed- adding one or two small, unexpected elements to him will help hold the viewer's attention- right now IMHO he's a little too easy to get in one glance. Nice composition- I like the way he's fighting against the image frame.
@JoyJee: I'm enjoying watching this piece come together- looking forward to the final!
@Bergy68: Just keeps getting cooler!
@jonnymarvel: I really like the story here- just make sure it all blends together in the end. It feels a bit collage-y right now, but once you get some shadows under the dog he'll look more like part of the scene.
@a-curious-twitch: a bit too early to say much constructive, other than it looks fun!
@Digital Dave: Very sweet! Keep an eye on your perspective lines for the building- the bottom edge of the building looks like it's on a different plane than the window. You might want to shorten the beast's far leg a touch as well, so his feet aren't totally parallel to the viewer.
@Domtopia: Very nice- love the expressions on the troll's faces.
Great contest overall- thanks to everyone for your critiques and encouragement!
