    Re: Comics

You realise that Disney actually own a wide variety of production companies that produce more than just the typical Disney family oriented stuff? They own Miramax who produced things like Reservoir Dogs, Trainspotting, The Crow, Hero etc. and they created Touchstone in order to produce films that didn't fit into the traditional Disney material.

    Re: Comics

Well Marvel are constantly running out of money, so it's probably a good thing that somebody with some financial clout is going to take over.

    Re: Comics

Becuause if they own the company they no longer have to worry about competing with it.  Disney started a comic company a year or two ago called Kingdom Comics that they are using to re-invent and re-distribute classic disney tales and characters.  Now they don't have to worry about those books competing with Marvel since they own both companies.
    I can't fix it if I don't know it's broken.

Incredible... Welcome to the scared comic world, Donald Duck the Wolverine ;)

I like Disney Walt´s cult movie ´the Black Hole´ who is sci fi movie. Walt Disney

made Tron 1 and newest Tron soon:

I think that that is not problem when Disney Walt buy Marvel, because they will get

    many new ideas :)

P.S. I like the Black hole´s last part / ending because one bad guy became robot into Black hole:

    Re: Comics

Don't worry Yian, that's obviously not entirely true. The real truth is that they are using most of their money to develop a powered suit of armour for Stan Lee so he can fight crime more effectively.

you know, DC comics have actually been owned by Warner Bros. since about 1969 I think it was.

    Re: Comics

i knew that *gloats* and i think it was 1969 too.

i dont see a problem with disney owning marvel.  disney have alot of money to throw around and as long as marvel where cleaver like pixar where, there alot smarter than people give them credit for, there still making all the films they planned too only with more financial backing how is that a bad thing.  pixar are still making fantastic movies regardless the fact they where bought out by disney (i'm still waiting to see UP i think its released here today in the UK i wanna see it D: no ruining it for me >_>)

i dont think disney owning marvel is gonna change much accept the films and comics might get the Disney logo on it *shrugs*

    Re: Comics

that and you might see Disney ads inside the comics. but I'd agree with you, for the near future I don't think much if anything is going to change in the direction of Marvel. a few years down the road though it's hard to say. difference between Pixar and Marvel is that Pixar has been a success since it's first movie and continues to succeed. Marvel's been bankrupt once and though it was doing better now I still don't think it was the cash cow it used to be. So Disney may try to fix it.

    Re: Comics

I started reading All Star Batman earlier, at least I thought I did. That's what it said it was on the cover. For some reason the inside appears to be the insane ramblings of a madman.worried
