    ImagineFX issue 50

    Hello!

Arriving on UK subscriber doormats soon is our very special issue 50. Here's the cover art, lovingly crafted by Andrew Jones. You'll notice that it's cover line free. That's because we're bagged this issue, so you won't lose the FREE POSTER that we're giving away... want some Andrew Jones art on your wall? Well, now you can! On the other side of the poster is what you voted to be your favourite ImagineFX cover... Stanley Lau's Pepper!

Also inside is an interview with the near-reclusive Craig Mullins, a special feature on the concept art of District 9, a fantastic workshop from legend James Gurney and our unmissable list of the top 50 most inspirational artists. You'll love it.

You'll find us on UK newsstands from next Tuesday 20 Oct. And in the US, Canada and beyond about three weeks after that date.

Also, on the back cover of the subscriber edition is the winning entry from our subscriber cover competition. I won't give away the winner just yet... you'll see for yourselves soon! We had to pull it from the front cover because the suits wouldn't let us put a fiol treatment on the back cover... (you'll see what I mean when you get the issue).

The free A2 poster. Which side will you choose? Hmm?

Dear Lord, cover art by Andrew Jones and an *interview* with Craig Mullins? *faints*

I just got my copy of issue 49 just now and came back to my room only to find a teaser for issue 50... :P

So the IFX cover (subscriber or otherwise) remains an unconquered forumite summit, ah well.

No offence, to be printed anywhere in the mag must be very satisfying but it wasn't so long ago an FXpose entry got the full back cover.

I don't have the issue to hand Harlequin but I'll check it later. Some other forumite may be able to tell you sooner of course.

    Re: ImagineFX issue 50

Usually those UK'ers get not long after this is posted, if not same day. Watch them all be mean and not post the winner either. I'm more interested in knowing whether the winner is a forumite or someone who doesn't contribute to the forum.

too true... shame the winner didnt get the front, but cest la vie, like you said, anywhere on the cover or inside is good.

foil? is that what was ment or am I missing something...  cant wait to see..  not long now... not long now...

You're quite right, it was foil. I guess Claire was so excited to tell you that she typed it all at about 120mph!

And without giving anything away, and to the best of my knowledge, the winner is indeed a forumite!

You Brits and Euros on here - don't give anything away to the colonials about the winner, mind. They just love being teased!

i'm glad it's a forumite, i hope its one that we saw the wips on (i have my favourite)

*kaz hopes the post doesn't delay the mag so she can taunt the non uk'ers relentlessly*

It's not what I voted for, so I'll be using the other side (which is closer to what I did vote for).
