I like the look of that floating palette thingy. Even if it doesn't do anything I want a floating palette thingy.

lol... I thought the same, but I think it contains all the tools, you spin it to the tool you require by the looks of it... very swish.  but what amazed me was the texture painting process, it just looked so intuitive! hope it works as good as it looks.

    Um... Zbrush 3.5 soonish.

Pixologic has announced Zbrush 3.5 arriving in August for PC... which was when version 4 was supposed to be out.

I don't know whether to be excited to be getting a new version, or disappointed not to be getting the new version I thought I was getting when the new version that isn't the new version I was expecting comes out... ConfusedTongue Tied I think.

Pretty cool. I'm glad that I'm starting to look into 3D rendering software, the applications are definitely looking very easy to use.

Re: New Real media paint plugin.

There's a new real media plugin for painting in Zbrush. Watch the vid and click the link to download it here: http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=073619

I've only installed it just now but I like it already. Those little Pixologic pixies have been pretty busy it seems.

Rotating brush strokes in 3 dimensions is quite clever. I also like the colour blender, which could be the best blending brush I have ever used. I'm really looking forward to seeing what other wonderful toys has been added to 3.5 (and especially 4 when it finally arrives).

That new plugin looks seriously cool! I really should install ZBrush again (re-formatted PC, I have the serial number still) and get into it again.

It looks to be much more like sculpting clay onto an armature than it was before. Can't wait to try it out. I've watched that video several times over now.

Geeeez... I've been using zbrush for a few days so my experience is quite limited but even a novice like me can see how amazingly useful and impressive the new Zsphere technology is.  Damn its got me all excited... bring on 3.5
