Well I figured that I'd start a blog of my progress, ideas, and general nonsense. I am hoping this will make me draw more and more creatively. from here on out I will try and include a picture and try to write something each day. Feel free to ask any questions or even just chat. also if anyone wishes to personaly contact me please pm me. this can be for personal critique or just general chit chat.
so with the general crap start lets get on to possible areas for my disscussion. Well a while back I was planning to start a fantasy card game so I may start that up. challenges with you lot may occour if there is enough interest. college work will be posted and disscussed (yeah I study foundation art and am aiming for uni next year). Possible tutorials if interest is there. and finaly crapy scribbles.
To get out of posting a picture for my first post I would like to invite all to see my gallery on this website.
Next post will be tomorrow. If there is anything you wish me to disscuss just say and I will consider it. Later.

Just thought Id comment on a problem on this web site. That problem is lack of comments on the galleries. Please, people have taken the time to post pictures up and it means a lot to people to get comments even if it is just a simple keep up the good work, so please comment on someones gallery.

have no idea why I feel like sleeping all the time at the moment (Maybe S.A.D.s). So been a fairly unproductive day today o well I know tomorrow will be better as I am actually at college so I should have more crap to show off.
I am not sure if my idea to get more people commenting on the galleries is working but alot of people are talking about it. Maybe the issue is not get people commenting on the galleries but to convince people new to imaginefx to post on the forums as when i started i purely posted on the galleries.
Anyhow down to business I have got my new (well finished) work on IFX so pop down to the galleries. I'm off to make a few comments on peoples galleries and find some great examples of work like last time.
I know this is abit stupid but is there anyway to get images on this blog and if so how?

tnx for the comment of my image of the mammoth, you r right about the red 1. it was a practise in photoshop and i wasnt sure if i should post it. i am looking for a site where you can learn from comments from other people. i am not working for 11 years now because of an ilness and i hope that i can some day earn a little bit money by myself with my drawings. i am studying photoshop now and i hope i can inprove my work. the best way to learn i think is from the artists so i am looking on all kind of sites. i hope you have some tips for me and again thanks for your comment because it is a rare thing to get a comment on this imagine site.

Hi all Phoenicorn here for his supposedly daily blog. Big apology for lack of blog update yesterday but my printer scanner thing was playing up and I felt like crap so what you gonna do.
Let me stat off by saying thanks for the comments made buy everyone on my inbox/ forum posts/ blog I really love hearing from you guys so keep the comments coming even if you don't feel it's relevant. Next, well I finally figured out how to get images on this blog so I got some crappy drawings I scribbled down yesterday thinking they may come in handy but before then I need am going to update you on my mini quest.
well the Idea is to make sure that all who post on IFX galleries gets at least one comment but truth be told I am only one man and do have a world outside IFX that needs attending to so I need your help.
I know alot of you are busy but if you could just spare 2 minutes and comment on atleast 2 pieces in the gallery I feel we can make IFX the best portfolio site on this side of the net. So Please comment on the galleries.
Well with that out of the way on to the crappy drawings. The first one was based on Chris Newman's Syrs, which was featured in this months IFX I am sure the shapes will come in handy when tackling my 3d project.
The second is based on an art deco stamp I found on wikipedia.

I feel like I should comment on my 3d project.
We are to design a 3d object to mark the passage of time (fancy term for clock). It is to be inspired by cubism, Art deco, De Stijl, and constructiveism.
If anyone has advice they would like to share feel free.
Well thats me for the day L8r.

Well I spent most of the day asleep and the rest dotting up Loomis's training excersizes around my room o and fixing my life line (mp3 player) that is the key to my power. Any way I'm going off to train on Andrew Loomis. Anyone who wishes to study anatomy should study his online books as they are not only great reference materials but they are free. Anyone who wants a link just mention. Later all.

Well today we started the first day of the photography section of the course (yeay) but we are in an extra day of the week as well as the additional work (Boo). Anywho we got the assignment given straight off the bat so I shall divulge. We are to do 4 photo montages on gestures and for inspiration we have *begin sarcasm*my favorite artist *end sarcasm* Jackson Pollock. Let me just start here by saying there are 2 things in art I hate (Lens flares and Abstract expressionism). My tutor loves both so you can see I'm going to have fun. To get back to some vague kind of subject we started off with research (when do we ever not do research) and I realized something I CANT DRAW HANDS. So I decided to dedicate an entire page of my sketchbook to getting to grips with hands. I will be memorizing the main bones of the hand and shall post my work up soon. Hell I've pretended to work hard I'm having a break for the rest of the night.
On a completely unrelated note, To all of those who insist on for what ever reason using my blog as a thank you post board I want to give my personal thanks as reading the comments of those I reviewed really makes my day. you guys are the reason I comment on the galleries as I know you not only know how to take constructive criticism the way it was intended but also relish any oppartunity to improve. Be sure to share and review some other artists on the gallery, you never know what may happen.
Well this is long enough, Fine art tomorrow so I'll tell you how I get on.
Keep your pencil sharp and your vision focused.

Thanks for the comment :). As far as the cards go, everything went fine on art end, but it looks like the christmas rush at the printers is knocking the set back a few weeks.
