5 more days to get some work done here.  Holiday time is probably the busiest time of the year I think.  There is so much to do, so many things to stay on top of, and this year at least, so much work to be done.  I’m balancing things okay for now, but I’d like to know if there is anyone out there that maybe has one of those time turner thingamabobs from the Harry Potter world, where I can just go back, buy more time, and get more done.

I can’t wait for Monday.  I think I’ll have to do an hour or two of work, but after getting that out of the way in the morning….I’m not working until the 26th.  Took some time to play a game of pool with each of the kids last night after dinner, and realize that I do indeed need to get more of that sort of thing in (because my kids are almost beating me-actually…I DID lose to my daughter)

My wife is baking again, more peanut butter balls, more toffee, and it’s all because we’re eating it all and there isn’t any left to pass out to people this year at Christmas.  For most of our family gifts this year, we gave donations in the name of Unicef and the Humane Society to everyone in their names, we all have so much already that every little bit helps to those that truly need it.  Do more with less is a good motto that I’d like to think we do okay of following, but I know in reality we don’t.  Still, there are lots of people that do more with LOTS more than we have.

My train of thought is foggy this morning.  I’ve started to put together a list of things for the upcoming New Years resolutions, reading more, sketching more, losing a little more weight, and becoming a bit more Zen.  Bah, babbling again, I’ve got to get back to work now, it’s almost 10am, I WAS up late last night though in my defense, and I have done some work this morning already too.
