random wierdness from the life of a comic book colorist

A long time coming.

It dawns on me this morning, as I’m about ready to grab a bit of lunch early, that it’s taken me almost 13 years to get my wife the perfect gift for Christmas.  This year though, I think I’ve finally managed to pull it off.  At least both of my kids agree with me, so she’s outnumbered if it ISN’T exactly perfect anyways :D

-Rough weekend for football watching here.  Both games I watched, the team I wanted to win lost.  First the Steelers came up short, and then the Lions were completely embarrassed by the Chargers (I shut the game off completely shortly after halftime)

-We got a lot of snow this weekend.  So much so, that I owe my grandfather one for driving over on the tractor and plowing our driveway yesterday.  with drifts that were up to 3 feet high, it would have taken FOREVER to shovel all of that snow.  It was a nice surprise to have him come over and do that with such cold and blistering winds.  And likely I would have hurt myself after about an hour or so of shoveling anyways.

-I made chili and corn bread muffins for dinner yesterday, but we were almost out of chili powder.  It still turned out good, but I think we need an extra large bottle of chili powder next time, so that it lasts for a long time.

-I’m in good shape here work wise, so much so, that I think I’ll be WAY ahead by the time Friday gets here, with only putting in one or two really long days. Then I’m taking some holiday time off here to just chill with the family, watch too many movies, eat too many sweets, and play too many video games.

Lunchtime!
