random wierdness from the life of a comic book colorist

Hip Deep.

I’m hip deep in the work week already. Getting loads of stuff done, and actually CLOSE to either being A)completely caught up, or B) actually AHEAD of the game here. energy level has been picking up the last day or so, which is a good thing, because some of the work I’m doing is actually requiring a fair amount of intensity on my part. Also been getting a couple of things on my list of household chores to accomplish before winter set in here done as well. Although the screen I replaced in the screen door off the patio yesterday, had another hold tore in it by one of the dogs today. So that is a bit upsetting. Bloody dogs. Still, I feel like I could be in a good position here by the time tomorrow night rolls around. Kind of energizing to find out for SURE that the trade collection of Hero By Night is going to be a HARDCOVER this week too. Sean O’Reilly informed DJ of that on Monday I think (hard to keep my days straight, DJ and I chat so much it’s hard to remember what gets said when sometimes) Still, we’re SUPER stoked about maybe having those fancy hardcover trades to debut at Wizard World Texas coming up next month. Which is going to be another BLUR of a trip. Have a lot to do before then, so I better get back to it!  Nothing like a little Interpol music seeping out of your speakers on a late night either.  I love that band, still my number 1 concert moment of my LIFE seeing them live at the Fox Theater in Detroit right after they released their first album on Matador Records, in a crowd of like 500 people.  It was unreal. :D
