random wierdness from the life of a comic book colorist

Feeding the soul.

it's cold this week now. Monday it was 90, today it's supposed to get up to a whopping 50 degrees. I'm tired, I've busted my butt this week, I'm settling into a daily routine here for the rest of the year though. Or rather I'm TRYING to, there are a lot of variables and things that come up when you work from home. In addition, I'm feeling like I have a cold coming on. Or that I already HAVE a cold, and my mind is refusing to admit it just yet. It's quiet in the house right now, the kids are at school, the wife is out running errands, and I'm waiting on a file to save. I've decided on those days when I'm the most tired, and the most likely to fall victim to a bout of being unproductive, that the best thing to do is to feed my soul. Hot coffee, and classical music usually work best. As an artist, it's those stolen moments of tranquility, that can really rejuvenate you I think. On a completely off topic subject, I enjoyed the hell out of painting that dragon cover. I need to find a way to make painting a more lucrative past time for me I think. It seems like every time I sit down to do something like that for the first time, it's cast into stark reality for me how good I could potentially be if I had the time to do stuff like that on a regular basis. :D My thoughts seem to be a bit jumbled this morning, so I guess it's time to get cracking here today. Tired or not, I love my job.
