I’m convinced of it. Weekend
days suck the creativity from you just like a vampire would suck your
blood…somtimes. I tried to work yesterday, and while I got menial
things accomplished, filing, a bunch desktop wallpaper designs I’m
working on started, some things that need to be colored formatted and
saved, cleaning up my files on the computer, the really creative things
that I was supposed to be working on never developed. 4 pages worth of
sketchbook work was mostly junk. 2 digital paintings started, mostly
junk. I think my 7yr old got more done sitting at my drawing table in the studio and coloring and drawing for an hour and a half. So I ended up working through most of that yesterday, only to
realize around 6pm, that it was really probably pretty hopeless, and
that my evening would be better spent with the wife and kids (and my
brother who was over for a bit last night) Which was the case, I did
get another page of sketchbook work in, around 11pm after everyone was
sleeping (except my daughter, she’s just like me, sleep in late, stay
up even later

)
So today, I’m feeling a bit more of that artistic voodoo working in
me, but I have other stuff to accomplish (head over the grandparents
house, and likely some things around our own house that I’m not even
aware of yet) But right now, the coffee is hot, the energy is there,
and I’m off to try and get into doing something PRODUCTIVE around the
studio today-most likely starting with some speed paintings. Because I
know I’ve still got some Hero By Night webcomic stuff to color for
tomorrows update on top of anything else that I need to get done.
